The Tide is Turning

Straight from Abu "it's hot down here" Zarqawi, a document released by the Iraqi government shows that the terrorist, judging by his own hand, knew things were getting bad Interesting...

Cut and Run Kerry

Senator John "did I tell you I was in Vietnam" Kerry introduced his amendment to basically cut and run from Iraq, went to the floor for a vote today. It was defeated 94-6. I'm shocked! Kerry and his brand of liberalism is so out of touch with America that I am surprised it even got 6 votes. I'm off to get you the names of the six that backed him.

I think we can say buh-bye to his 2008 run for president. I'm so, so sad.

UPDATE: Sorry, it was 93-6. The usual suspects were:
Boxer
Byrd
Feingold
Harker
Kerry
Kennedy

Senator Rockefeller did not vote.

Bill Gates stepping down

Bill Gates just announced that he is leaving Microsoft, the company he created 30 odd years ago to concentrate his efforts on he and his wife's charitable foundation. He will step down from his post in 2008.

His foundation has grown from 1 Billion dollars at conception to more than 20 Billion. Gates says that the foundation is his future, not Microsoft. Bill Gates and his wife Melinda, have donated more to charity than anyone in history. I wish he and his family well.

Buh-Bye

Don't let the door hit you in the A** on your spiral into hell. Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi is dead thanks to a combination of Jordanian intel, Iraqi courage, a bit of treachery from his own group and the awesome precision of the U.S. military. This is a good day! The left, of course, has either decided to pan on this turning point, ripped the president or simply decided that we thawed his body for pictures at the most opportune moment.

I congratulate all who were involved in this operation. Zarkawi was a monster who killed innocents wherever he went, lacking the courage to lead his "forces" into combat with anyone but women, children and unarmed men.

While his death is a moral blow to the terrorists in Iraq, there will most assuredly be others who will raise their mighty sword to conquer the next seven year old child, or feeble woman of eighty. Those are the citizens of Iraq who have the most to fear...not the police, not the military, but the vulnerable. And the mainstream media of the world will gladly show the film at eleven.

Abu, may your 72 virgins be camels...my apologies to the camels.

Is Clinton Still President?

The thought of that prospect puts a smile on some faces, but a shiver down the spine of every reasonable person.

It's true that we don't know the details of the latest proposal given to the to the Iranians offering them "limited" nuclear technology, and maybe I shouldn't jump the gun so to speak. But I get so little time to blog anymore, that I thought "what the hell".

Doesn't anyone remember Madam Albright and our two former democrat presidents Carter and Clinton offering a similar carrot to North Korea? And hasn't that turned out well?

I can only hope that there are huge conditions and reciprocities if the Iranians fail, and they will, to live up to their end of the bargain. I truly believe that their president is insane and a danger to us and his neighbors. We can only hope that the small pockets of an uprising can take root and spread quickly throughout the country. That is where any possible future of a democratic, or at least reasonable government lies.

06/06/06

Taking the religious aspects and the possible lottery windfalls out of the conversation, the one thing that should come to anyone's mind is that today is D-Day + 62 years. So many thousands gave their lives to secure, at the time, the beaches, but overall the world. Hitler himself knew that if the allies were succesful at gaining the beaches, that it was only a matter of time before they would be storming into Berlin. I thank God for all of the brave soldiers, both men and women, who fought to make this day a day of celebration...those who gave their lives then, those who have fallen since and the all too few who live to this day. The free world will always be grateful for your sacrifice.
