Immigration

I have just a passing thought on immigration and the bill/bills that the republican party are about to pass in the Senate.

It seems that the republicans don't want to learn the lessons of the past. While I vote overwhelmingly republican, I consider myself a Reagan Conservative. I am not truly beholden to any particular party. That being said, the republicans, if they continue on their course of immigration destruction, are going to learn the hard way what the democrats have already faced. Voters, if ignored, can bite you in the a%$ and quickly vote you out of office.

Instead of playing politics and pandering to the possible negative votes of the illegal and legal mexicans (and to be fair, Canadians and any other person who wants to live here) of this country, give them ideas and solutions so that no matter how you vote on the immigration issue (and I believe that anyone who is here illegally should be returned immediately, whether black, white, green, red or purple) they trust you to treat them fairly and give them a way to immigrate quickly and legally into this country.

At the end of the day I don't believe it is about handouts, which is typically the solution of the liberal party, it's about ideas and ideals. If we work with that, we are head and shoulders above what the opposition has to offer.....which is nothing.

Seal of Disapproval

It appears that former playmate Pamela Anderson has joined Paul McCartney and Brigitte Bardot in an effort to end the seal hunting in Canada. Perhaps she would have been taken more seriously if she had taken up the cause to save all of the poor silicone cells now swimming aimlessly inside her breasts. If only they were her brains...

I find it hard to take the tattooed, walking implant seriously about anything having once had her ex-husband jailed for assault, but now having no problems subjecting herself and her children to the same abusive relationship.

I am all for saving the seals, but it can wait until we have saved our own children....and in Pamela's case, silicone first.

I apologize....again

Blogging is something that I truly enjoy doing. However, the constraints of my job, and the fact that after over 1 year I am still attempting to sell my house, have taken its toll on this page. No promises, but now that travel is going to be cut back a little (I hope), I will do my best to get back into a more editorial frame of mind. I still need to sell the house, but I will try better to keep up with, and give you my take on current events.

The Race Card

Bringing out the race card by representative Cynthia McKinney, who although is a fellow Georgian, that is where the similarity ends, is turning out to be a problem for her in the long run. It appears she has aligned herself with a has been singer (Harry "my pal Hugo" Belafonte), and a never was actor (Danny "I owe my career to Mel" Glover) as well as a cast of the usual suspects. Now that criminal charges are in the works, her office has been doing a little back-peddling, saying something to the effect that an unfortunate incident has taken place. On top of that, there is a report of some mis-appropriation of funds in flying Isaac Hayes to Atlanta to speak for her as well. Not to worry. Those funds I'm sure will be replaced.

If only she had worn her congressional pin so that the Capitol Police would have, more than likely, waved her through security. But wait, that pin probably showed the American flag, or had some other pro-American emblem on it. Otherwise, why wouldn't she wear it?

I can't believe it takes someone like her to bring me out of retirement!!

To be honest, I have been on the road for the better part of the last two months. Today was the first day in 7 weeks that I have actually seen my desk. If Cynthia McKinney would only do the same...
