9/11 Tapes

Today, 1600 + emergency response tapes were released to the public. Many of them are garbled communication between dispatcher and fireman or police officer and therefore difficult to gain the context of the situation. Others, however pull at your heart and provide chilling reminders of an unprovoked attack on our homeland that took us headlong into the war on terror.

I heard some of the tapes on the radio this afternoon, and I was immediately thrown back nearly 5 years. I don't know how you can listen to those tapes without your heart pounding and your eyes welling up in tears. The anger returns as well, and you remember who we are fighting, why we are fighting and what we are fighting for.

With the thwarted terror attacks of last week, the reminders (unfortunately needed by many) of 9/11 and the recent celebrating by the left on their "victory" in Connecticut, there is one thing that is crystal clear to me. We cannot turn the security of this country over to a party that has no plan or intestinal fortitude to win this war (doing the "cut and run" is not a victory dance). The democrats are weak on message, weak on security and defense, weak on character, weak on morality, weak on God and will be the first one's to tell you that America is to blame for all of the world's woes. The world will be a much more dangerous place if they win in November. I urge all of you to do your part and make sure that it doesn't happen.
