One in and One out

Senator Joe Lieberman was targeted by the left from the beginning, and while he is not out of the picture, he is out as the democratic candidate. In all probability his bid for re-election as an independent candidate will be successful and he will retain his seat. That doesn't mean he will change his voting habits. Lieberman is a liberal through and through. His only crime, an unforgivable crime as viewed from the left, was that he voted and supports the war against terror, thus siding with President Bush. This is where the new math comes in handy.

Bush bad = Lieberman bad
Can't touch George = Joe must go

What they don't seem to realize is that by devouring one of their own, they have weakened themselves. A house divided must fall.

Now lets travel south to my state of Georgia. Cynthia McHideous....I mean McKinney, has lost her runoff election against former judge Hank Johnson in the heavily democratic fourth district. It was a narrow defeat of almost 20 percentage points. This means very little other than the lunatic Congresswoman will not be going back to Washington for at least another couple of years. The republican repeat candidate Catherine Davis doesn't stand a chance. Today, Ms. McKinney blamed her defeat on "white people and republicans crossing party lines". Classy, right up until the end.

Ms. McKinney is certainly part of the hard core left (not just because of her insanity). She claims that President Bush had prior knowledge of 9/11 after all. And you couldn't find anyone who is more anti-war than her. Hank Johnson actually seems to be quite reasonable and intelligent, although I disagree with his opinions on almost everything. At least a person can have a conversation with him.

So, why go through the work of ousting Lieberman and not try to salvage McKinney? The only person who showed up for her campaign was Cindy Sheehan. Could it be that Rep. McKinney is even too nuts for Michael Moore...George Soros...Al Gore...Alec Baldwin...
