Absent as usual
I know that I have been a non-factor as far as this election goes. Even if I were blogging every day I would probably be a non-factor. The truth is, I am still trying to sell my house, and I am still traveling not only back and forth from there, but also back and forth to our different facilities at work.
Be that as it may, with the words spoken by Senator Kerry this past Monday, I felt I needed to sit down and speak up.
Today, John Kerry issued a written (in my opinion cowardly) apology to the troops of the United States. Basically he said that he would never say anything to hurt the people on the front lines of our nations defense.
I firmly believe the opposite is the truth. Senator Kerry has made a career out of lying about the military of this nation. In 1971 he lied about our defenders by calling them murderers and rapists. More recently he said that our troops in Iraq were "terrorizing" women and children in the dead of night. And now this past Monday he brought it all home by calling our brave men and women uneducated slobs. Those aren't his words, just his sentiments.
Even if, as he says, he was really only going to insult the president, and I hold all those who insult the president to this measure, President Bush is the Commander In Chief of this nation. As such, he is the general's general. I guess what I am saying is that he is the head of the military, so any remark against him is a remark against the military.
Senator Kerry, with his three bandaids and out thought process has never understood what military camaraderie means. He has been running for president of this country for nearly 40 years. I think we can finally breathe a sigh of relief, because with his most current case of foot in mouth disease, he will likely never recover.
