The Material Girl Has Spoken
We don't have to worry about who may replace Donald Rumsfeld, should he not remain in his current post. That magnificent military mind that is Madonna stands ready to report for duty. In an interview with BBC radio she said "I just don't want American troops to be in Iraq, period. My feelings are can we just all get out?." Her words of wisdom continued when she said "Global terror is everywhere. Global terror is down the street, around the block." Boy, I can see the terrorists running for their lives now!
Global terrorism is not on my block, or my town. While I am sure that we have our fair share of terrorist in this country, the fact of the matter is we haven't been attacked in more than three years. Why do you suppose that is Madonna? Perhaps it's because we have a policy to attack them where they are instead of waiting until they attack us again on our own soil.
Stick to what you (marginally) know. I'm not sure what makes you singers and actors think you know better than the CIA, FBI, Homeland Security et al. I am happy to see that you have chosen to reside in another country, although I pity the British. Perhaps you can talk your ex-husband to do the same, and bring the rest of your ilk with him.

If, as you said, the lack of attacks on the US since September 11th is due to our "policy to attack them where they are instead of waiting until they attack us again on our own soil, " how do you explain the lack of attackes before September 11th? And how do you reconcile it with the Bush Administration's position that we will be attacked again?
Actually, we were attacked before September 11th. Or don't you consider the Oklahoma City bombing a terrorist act. As for President Bush's position, he has to look at the big picture and not discount anything. As of right now, keeping them on the run seems to be working pretty well.
