Palin
I can't tell you how excited I am about John McCain's VP choice of Sarah Palin. I was telling Mrs. Scar the night before the pick that I would accept the choice of Romney (who I supported for the choice of president), but I really wanted him to pick Governor Palin. Mrs. Scar hadn't heard of her (she doesn't share my fanatisism of politics) and just shrugged.
Sarah Palin will, and already has breathed conservative life into McCain's campaign. His choice yesterday has kept the almost guaranteed 3-4 day coverage the eyelash killing speach that Senator Obama gave when he accepted the democrat nomination. Of course, if Oprahbama had said anything that he hadn't said before, or even worthwhile, it still would have been reported.
Instead, Obama's spokesman decided to release a statement that basically said that Senator McCain had put a "former mayor of a town of 9,000 a heartbeat away from the presidency", completely dismissing the almost two years of her being the governor of Alaska. Truth be told, Sarah Palin has more executive experience than any of the other candidates in this contest, by far.
I think that the two senator's on the democrat ticket should be careful how they go after Palin, and they will go after her. She has left a number of people who have underestimated her in the dust...or ice, since we are talking about Alaska. She isn't called "Sarah Baraccuda" for nothing.
